Lilacs in Purple Glass
It's amazing to think that It's July already! The passage of time can
go so fast and along with it the experiences of each given moment.
Photographs help us remember the moments. A painting, like a
photograph, brings those moments to memory, but it can also bring life
to each memory by wakening the senses of sight, smell, touch and even
taste through composition and design. I have so enjoyed this wakening
of my senses!
My husband and I just returned from a vacation with friends in Europe.
We saw the sights and experienced the culture in Munich, Salzburg and
Lucerne. I was fascinated by the colors in the mountains, architecture
and artwork which inspires me to continue to learn and explore the
richness of color in my paintings.

Now as I check things off on my summer bucket list I am determined to
be intentional in my interactions with others, my painting and every
opportunity that presents itself, engaging all of my senses so I don't
miss the gift of life that God has in store for me and the chance to
glorify Him.
Enjoy the beauty of the summer and the joy that it brings.
Psalm 34:1-3
I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
I will glory in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;
let us exalt his name together.
